HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

In this course you will learn knowledge and skills required to provide a First Aid response to a casualty whether they are injured or ill until Medical Aid arrives. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Under the Workplace Health & Safety Legislation this is the minimum qualification for a first aider within a workplace; club or community group where there is a duty of care.

COURSE CONTENT

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

• Understand legal, workplace and community considerations
• Scene assessment & management
• Casualty assessment
• Choking & Airway Obstruction
• Injuries, Illnesses and Envenomation
• Convey incident details to emergency services

^This First Aid qualification also requires you to complete HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which is delivered on the same day and is included in the total cost of $180. Please book your place for CPR training, here!

This qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge to provide First Aid in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.

This course is delivered face to face in the classroom, at the MiHaven Training campus or at a suitable location.
