This unit aims to educate individuals about the responsible practices that must be followed whenever alcohol is sold orserved. This unit applies to all levels of sales personnel involved in the sale, service, and promotional service of alcohol in licensed premises. This includes workplaces, hospitality venues, packaged liquor outlets, wineries, breweries, and distilleries. Individuals in positions involved in the sale & service of alcohol or a supplier are required by law to hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification. Students will learn how to sell and serve alcohol responsibly, assist customers to drink within appropriate limits, assess alcohol affected customers and identify those whom sale or service must be refused. You will also learn the laws that affect you & your licensed premises and the penalties that apply.
Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol.
This qualification will provide you a pathway to as a bartender, food and beverage attendant, cafe attendant, and function attendant.
This course is delivered face to face in the classroom at the MiHaven Training campus or at a suitable location.
