This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. They support children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework. Educators use a range of well-developed skills and knowledge using discretion and judgment when carrying out their work in the context of established policies and procedures. They may work independently or under the guidance of others, though in some contexts that guidance may not be onsite.
Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
This qualification will provide you a pathway to work as an Early Childhood Educator. They work in long day care centres, family day care, pre-schools or kindergartens.
The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is delivered within 12 months in either a classroom environment with weekly classroom sessions at various delivery locations, online or via distance learning.

As this qualification includes mandatory work placement you will need to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card. If your Blue Card application receives a negative notice, you may be disqualified from being eligible to undertake placement and assessment, which would affect your course outcomes. You may also need to provide a First Aid Certificate, Federal Police Check and/or relevant vaccination records.
To achieve this qualification; CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, seventeen (17) units must be completed including fifteen (15) core and two (2) elective units.

MiHaven Training (RTO #40928) has a Third-Party Agreement in place with First Aid Academy (RTO #40920) First Aid Academy conducts training and assessment services on MiHaven Training’s behalf. Upon completion, you will be issued with a National Accredited Statement of Attainment by MiHaven Training.
Given the benefits that training provides to individuals, students undertaking certificate III level training and non-concessional students undertaking lower -level vocational training are required to contribute to the costs of their training through a co-contribution fee. The fee may be paid on your behalf by an employer or another third party but cannot be paid or waived by the training provider, or any organisation related to the training provider, unless approved by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT).
The Student Co-Contribution Fee for eligible students under the Certificate 3 Guarantee (C3G) Program for this qualification is $25 concessional or $50 no concessional. This fee will be required to be paid in full prior to the training course commencing.

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed a total of at least 160 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. The total number of hours may be approved collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours.
