This qualification may be used as a pathway for workforce entry as community services workers who provide a first point of contact and assist individuals in meeting their immediate needs. At this level, work takes place under direct, regular supervision within clearly defined guidelines. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
Upon successful completion of all units of competency for this qualification, the student will be awarded CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services and gain up to 4 QCE points.
This qualification will provide you a pathway to work as an aged care worker, disability care worker and community care worker.
The CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services, is delivered within 6 months in either a classroom environment with weekly classroom sessions at various delivery locations, online or via distance learning.
VET in Schools (VETiS) has the following eligibility criteria:
To achieve this qualification; CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services, nine (9) units must be completed including five (5) core and four (4) elective units.

MiHaven Training (RTO #40928) has a Third-Party Agreement in place with First Aid Academy (RTO #40920) First Aid Academy conducts training and assessment services on MiHaven Training’s behalf. Upon completion, you will be issued with a National Accredited Statement of Attainment by MiHaven Training.
There are no Student Co-Contribution Fees for eligible students under the VETiS Program.

Students are not required to undertake any mandatory work placement, however it is to be noted, to gain employment within the industry, you will need to complete both a Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening Check. If either screening checks identifies that you have a criminal history, you may not be eligible to secure employment. You may also need to provide a First Aid Certificate, Federal Police Check, Manual Handling Certificate and/or relevant vaccination records- requirements are dependent on each provider.

If you are a new enrolling student, undertaking Nationally recognised training, you will need a USI number to receive your Qualification/Statement of Attainment. If you do not have a USI you will not be able to receive a qualification. To create a USI account, go to the website: www.usi.gov.au
